Dropbox security

I have read some articles about Dropbox security and am satisfied that it is very secure – for example read this…

However it is important not to share the link to our online Dropbox access since this circumvents the password control.

There are two concerns.  The first is that someone inadvertently shares the link to the Dropbox folder.  With this in mind I have written to Dropbox as follows:

I am webmaster for some community groups including two Rotary clubs.
Keeping the administrative documents in Dropbox for all to see is a great boon.
We used ‘shared link’ to allow people in a particular group to access the shared folders.
Generally we publish this link on a private, password protected, website.
The concern is that one of the  group members inadvertently shares the link.

Would it be possible to add a password option for a shared link?

The second concern is – what happens when someone leaves – ideally we do not want them still to have access to the Dropbox.

I will add to this post when I get their responses.  They will probably say we need to pay for the business version of Dropbox!
