Youth Speaks Comp. – a Rhyddings School WIN!!

YOuth speaks D final

Rhyddings school students, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Church &
Oswaldtwistle, recently competed in the Rotary District Youth Speaks
competition held at Windermere School in the Lake District.
Although they did not win, it was a thoroughly enjoyable and useful
experience for the team consisting of Tom Johnston (chair), Muieez Ali
(speaker) and Karina Pilkington (summariser and vote of thanks).
The competition in this category is usually very strong and this year's
entries were no different. The standard was extremely high and the judges
commented on the excellent level of achievement from all the finalists,
whilst passing on constructive comments to all the teams based on their
observations.
Rhyddings, who had teacher Lisa Bancroft and Business Manager Carmel
Cunliffe in attendance on the day, can be proud of how well the team
performed and will look forward to competing again next year in this very
popular Rotary Club competition.
