The Rotary club of Church and Oswaldtwistle is pleased to announce the induction of a new young member as a Rotarian. Zak Khan a 22 year old who lives in Oswaldtwistle became not only the youngest person in the club but is the youngest in the whole North West region which comprises 74 clubs.

Zak works for the Lancashire Constabulary as a Special Constable at Accrington Police Station. Zak is interested in working closely with the local community following his time spent with the RAF Air Cadets where he was involved in youth work.

The Rotary club is very proud to have Zak in its ranks as it is obvious he wants to get involved in the many projects that are in progress or are planned for the coming year. He will be working very closely with Community Chairperson Aslam Mohammed.

President Ian McTurk paid Zak a tribute saying that “over the last 2 months Zak has impressed all the club members with his drive and vision, he will be a valuable asset to our Rotary club”.

The club is proud of the way it encourages people from all walks of life and of all ages to consider being a Rotarian. Anyone interested should contact Membership Chairman Harun Miah on telephone number 01254 887633 or visit
