The Rotary club of Church and Oswaldtwistle recently organised a second Fashion Show at Oswaldtwistle Mills which involved members of the club taking part as models in association with Edinburgh Woollen Mills.
A grand turn out meant a full house who were entertained for a couple of hours, as Rotarians and friends of Rotary, together with customers of Edinburgh Woollen Mills showed off their outfits along the catwalk. One of the models was Rotarian Tony Davies who had donned a magnificent tweed outfit with matching cap. However it was the lady models who really excelled in a most professional manner.
The show was supported by Oswaldtwistle Mills, Pavers (Shoes) Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Cafe Nova.
The Rotary club are delighted with the attendance and Ken Freeman, Fundraising Chairman for the club who arranged the event said “It was very pleasing to see so many people turn up for the Fashion and helps to bring the image of what Rotary does into the public eye, I would like to thank the Management of Oswaldtwistle Mills, Maria from Edinburgh Woollen Mills and Rotarians and Friends of Rotary for taking part as models.”
Proceeds from a raffle and the entrance fee meant £250 was raised which will go to the fund for Rotary charities.
The success was such a success that a follow up is already in the planning stage-look out for a future press release.
